Giles lived for many years in the Gulf and is a frequent international traveller, having visited not only many Middle Eastern countries in recent years but also the United States, China and Central Europe on a variety of business-related journeys.
The experience gained over the years is available to clients when considering the establishment of a trading activity overseas or the setting up of a cross-border deal involving multiple nationalities and/or jurisdictions.
Giles wrote the chapter on international construction contracts for the latest edition of Schmitthoff's "Law and Practice of International Trade" published in 2008. He also edited two books commissioned by the UK Government's Trade Partners UK on doing business in the Gulf, covering Agency Law and the Establishment of a Business. |
