At the Giles Dixon Legal Consultancy, we adhere to the following principles that underpin the practice.

• Whatever the service we provide, we always keep uppermost in our  mind the commercial interests of the client. 
• When drafting contracts, we use plain English and avoid legalese.

Most of our work is concerned with drafting, negotiating and advising on a wide range of commercial contracts. In particular the consultancy has a lot of experience with large infrastructure projects and long term arrangements - construction, highways, rail, energy, ports, as well as PFI and PPP. Also, having lived and worked overseas during his career, Giles and his colleagues handle international as well as UK domestic work. 

Our small but select client base includes listed companies in the UK and Germany and a global dredging company.  We also act for a range of smaller businesses

Although Giles personally handles all the construction and infrastructure work, the Giles Dixon Legal Consultancy includes other lawyers, working either remotely or together so that we can offer a broader service that includes intellectual property and corporate law. And through consultancy and other arrangements with larger law firms in the UK and elsewhere we can call upon additional specialist support for clients when required. 

As a 'virtual' law firm without expensive office overheads we offer excellent value, with rates less than 50% of those charged by former partners in the City - and we provide a personal service with minimal delegation.
