Giles lived for many years in the Gulf and is a frequent international traveller, having visited not only many Middle Eastern countries in recent years but also the United States, China and Central Europe on a variety of business-related journeys.
The experience gained over the years is available to clients when considering the establishment of a trading activity overseas or the setting up of a cross-border deal involving multiple nationalities and/or jurisdictions.
He is the editor of two books commissioned by the UK Government’s Trade Partners UK on doing business in the Gulf, covering Agency Law and the Establishment of a Business. He also wrote the chapter on international construction contracts for the latest edition of Schmitthoff’s “Law and Practice of International Trade”.
